Welcome!
Can you point out Vienna on the map? How about the Bosporus? Do you know the members of the European Union? This website is meant for kids, students, adults and seniors who want to know more about Europe. The quizzes include questions about countries, capitals, flags, seas, rivers, mountains, regions and other topics that will test and challenge your brain. For everyone who wants to explore, play and learn geography.

How many countries are there in Europe?
The answer to this question depends on your definition of Europe: geographically, politically or conventionally. According to the United Nations there are 44 sovereign states in Europe. Geographically, there are four more transcontinental countries, partially located in Europe: Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. Politically, Armenia and Cyprus are considered European countries, though geographically they are located in Asia. And Kosovo is a special case: a partially-recognised state in Europe.
In our games the map of Europe counts 46 countries, including the 44 European member states of the United Nations, Cyprus and Kosovo.
